Hello everyone, and welcome to the mining guide! This will be pretty short and sweet but will tell you everything you need to know about mining!
First off, we will start off with some useful items.
Item 1: The Amulet of Gathering
This item increases the speed in which you mine. It can be purchased from the skilling master for 125 skill points.
Item 2: Varrock Armour (1)- (4)
These items can also be purchased from the skill master. You can buy the Varrock armour (1) for 100 skill points. After that, to upgrade it, use it on the skill master and you will be prompted for an upgrade. Each additional upgrade costs 100 skill points. (it will cost 400 skill points from the time you buy it to the time it it tier 4.
Item 3: Master Pickaxe
This item is just another pickaxe, but really really good. While mining with this you have a nice chance at getting an uncut onyx. Definitely worth getting if you have 3000 skill points.
Now that we have those out of the way, we can get into the guide.
First off open up the mage book, and click the skills teleport.
You will arrive at an area that looks like this:
There are copper rocks to your north west, tin rocks to your east iron slightly south west of your, coal directly east of you, mithril south west of you, and adamant directly south of you. There is also a rune rock to the north past the living rock creatures as well.
That is just the basic mining area. There are other mining spots throughout the map. For example, in Entrana, there is a mining area with tons of adamant and rune rocks.
